If you are one of the many people who suffer from a chronic condition, you may know that many traditional medications can cause significant side effects. Many doctors will prescribe commonly used prescriptions that can be picked up at a regular pharmacy.
However, if alternative treatments or custom treatments are needed, then our compounding pharmacy is your best option.
Here at The Compounding Pharmacy of America, we can create custom pharmaceutical medications for:
- Family; Ear/Nose/Throat
- And many more
Short-term, Moderate Conditions
If you are suffering from conditions such a sinus infection or a sprained ankle, using a regular pharmacy is a convenient option.
You can drop off and pick up your prescription in a short amount of time, typically under an hour. These medications are generally only taken for a short amount of time which will limit the severity of side effects.
Yet our compounding pharmacy can still be utilized to create custom compounded forms and strengths of your specified prescription, to best suite your particular needs.
Chronic Pain Conditions
Chronic pain conditions can affect your quality of life. If left untreated, you may be unable to get out of bed or walk even short distances. You may take pills designed to minimalize your pain and allow you to move in comfort. These pills come with side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea.
Unlike a regular pharmacy, our compounding pharmacy can create compound topical pain medications that can be applied to the affected area rather than taken orally. Topical creams are absorbed directly into the affected area to relieve the pain without the side effects of traditional pain medications.
When receiving prescriptions from a regular pharmacy, you have to use what your doctor prescribes. Taking a pill to overcome urological conditions such as vaginal dryness or erectile dysfunction can be inconvenient. Many of these medications are designed to be taken prior to having sexual intercourse but may take hours to begin working. This decreases your ability to be spontaneous with your partner.
Our compounding pharmacy can give you the same results in less time by designing custom and safe injectable and topical treatments for your urological conditions. These medications will begin working almost immediately allowing you to maintain your spontaneity in your relationship.
Deciding Whether To Use A Regular Pharmacy vs. A Compound Pharmacy
When deciding whether you need a regular pharmacy vs. a compounding pharmacy it is important to determine how quickly you need the medication, if you need a different strength or form and the side effects of your current medications.
Talk to your doctor about compounded medications if you wish use a more custom medicine, many times with fewer side effects.
